Messi handed MasterCard Man of the Match award for Argentina

Lionel Messi has been named the MasterCard Man of the match after Argentina defeated Colombia 5-4 on penalties in their Copa América quarter-final on Friday evening.
The Barcelona man led the charge on many of la Albiceleste’s attacks, but was denied by David Ospina and the defence throughout a scoreless regulation period.
However, Messi would finally get the better of the Arsenal keeper in the shoot-out, burying his team’s first spot-kick to set them on their way to a dramatic victory.
Argentina will now face either Brazil or Paraguay in the semi-finals in Concepción on June 30.
