T-Wolves ink Conley to 2-year, $21M extension

The Minnesota Timberwolves are signing starting point guard Mike Conley to a two-year, $21-million contract extension, his agents told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday.

The deal will keep the impending free agent in Minnesota through the 2025-26 season.

Conley has played an integral part in the Timberwolves’ resurgence after coming over from the Utah Jazz during last year’s trade deadline, starting all 74 games he’s played with the franchise.

The 36-year-old is averaging 10.6 points per game, his lowest since his rookie season. However, he’s contributing 6.4 assists per contest while making a career-high 44.2% of his 3-pointers for the 39-16 Timberwolves.
