SCCN and DIRECTV seal the deal; All Fifa events 2015 – WC 2018 only on SCCN

SURINAME CABLE & COMMUNICATION NETWORK N.V.  ACQUIRES EXCLUSIVE FREE TO AIR TELEVISION RIGHTS IN SURINAME, FOR FIFA FOOTBALL EVENTS FROM 2015 THROUGH 2018, INCLUDING 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP™

 Audiences in Suriname will have the opportunity to enjoy the most important football events in the world

Port-of-Spain – 20^th May – Suriname Cable & Communication Network N.V (SCCN), one of the country’s  leading media providers, has acquired the exclusive free to air television rights and non-exclusive radio rights in Suriname, including the right to simulcast its free to air channel, Channel 17, via broadband transmission, to FIFA events from 2015 through 2018, which includes the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015™ in Canada, the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ in Russia, the FIFA Confederations Cup and all FIFA Under-20 and Under-17 World Cup matches in this time period, among other FIFA events.

The agreement includes its free to air channel, Channel 17 and its radio station 104.1 Smooth FM.
