Soria releases final Bolivia squad for Copa América

Mauricio Soria has confirmed his 23-man  Bolivia  squad for Copa América 2015.

Juan Carlos Arce is the most notable omission from the final list, with the 44-cap veteran appearing for El Verde at the previous two editions of the tournament.

Diego Bejarano (Panaitolikos), Ramiro Ballivián (Universitario de Sucre), Abraham Cabrera (The Strongest), Alejandro Meleán (Oriente Petrolero), Gustavo Pinedo (San Martín de San Juan) and Rodrigo Ramallo (The Strongest) were the other names cut, with the six players having only 28 caps between them.

However, it’s still an inexperienced group from Soria, with captain Ronaldo Raldes and forward Marcelo Martins Moreno the only players left in the team to have made over 30 international appearances.

Bolivia’s friendly against Venezuela on May 31 was cancelled, leaving them with only an encounter with Argentina on June 6 to prepare for their Copa opener against Mexico six days later.
