At a meeting on Wednesday, the Barcelona board decided to make the case to the RFEF that its Competition Committee (or another relevant disciplinary body) should be able to retrospectively punish players for offences committed during matches which are not indicated in the referee’s match report or which the official chooses not to take action on. This is not possible under the current rules and if the measure, which ‘Azulgranas’ president Josep Maria Bartomeu will personally argue for, is passed, it would require rewriting the regulations.
On a separate note, at the meeting the directors also approved the establishment of new Barça schools in Canada, namely in Edmonton and Toronto, each of which will take in some 300 youngsters.
