Aleix Vidal dropped in at radio ‘RAC1’ to talk about Barcelona’s chances of winning the league, and he is optimistic. He would also like to cross paths with Sevilla in the Spanish Cup.
On La Liga: “If we go top with a win over Sporting Gijon or before, I’m convinced that we won’t let the title slip”.
On ins and outs at Barça B: “If the club has offloaded several Barça B players, it’s because it thinks it’s best for the team. If at their age I’d had a chance to train with the first team I’d have made the most of it. Maybe some of them didn’t work as hard as they should have and now they don’t know what the future holds for them”.
On Messi: “You only have to see him play to know that he’s the best. When I play against him I know I don’t really have a chance”.
On the Spanish Cup draw: “I’d like to cross paths with Sevilla. I have good friends there and it’d be a great tie. Nobody had every successfully defended the Europa League and Sevilla did. Let’s see if I’m a lucky charm and Barça can be the first team to win two straight Champions Leagues”.
