Kevin-Prince Boateng has completed a move away from the San Siro this summer, joining La Liga’s Las Palmas.
The midfielder joins the Spanish outfit on a one year-deal and will be unveiled after completing his medical this afternoon.
The club have organised a special ceremony at their Estadio de Gran Canaria to officially introduce the 29 year-old, with admission into the stadium free for fans wanting to catch a glimpse of the Ghanaian.
AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi announced the departure of Boateng at the end of last season, bringing his second stint at the Italian giants to a close.
Las Palmas’ close relationship with the player’s agent enabled the Spaniards to win the race for his signature, amid interest from bigger clubs.
The decorated midfielder is a high-profile signing for Las Palmas and it’s hoped the former Portsmouth man can raise the profile and ambitions of the club.
Boateng was unable to make much of an impact in the Serie A since re-joining Milan in January 2016, after his contract at Schalke was terminated following suspension from the German club.
He made just 11 league appearances for I Rossoneri, failing to complete a whole 90 minutes and scoring just one goal in the process.
However, despite his recent struggles, Boateng has played for some of Europe’s biggest clubs and his transfer is a huge statement of intent for his new club who finished 11th in the Spanish top flight last season.
