Cristiano Ronaldo helped Al Nassr to a 2-0 victory over Al Khaleej in their Saudi Pro League match. It’s a result that sees Luis Castro’s men close the gap to just four points on league leaders Al Hilal.
The Portuguese striker has now scored 11 league goals in nine appearances this season in the league and he did so with a fine strike from outside the box. Ronaldo picked the ball up on the edge of the box and faked a shot before rifling an effort into the far corner.
Sadio Mane had a wonderful goal ruled out due to an offside player in the build-up, however, Al Nassr doubled their lead through former Man City defender Aymeric Laporte. Laporte’s goal was his first since making the move to Saudi Arabia from the treble winners.
For Al Nassr, it’s their fifth win in a row in all competitions and their fifth clean sheet this season. Their unbeaten run extends to 16 matches and up next they return to AFC Champions League action as they travel to Qatar to face Al-Duhail SC.
