Bolivia goalkeeper Romel Quiñonez was voted MasterCard Man of the Match after a super peformance in his side’s 3-2 win overEcuador.
La Verde boosted their hopes of qualifying from Group A as they secured their first Copa América victory since 1997.
Ronald Raldes, Martin Smedberg-Dalence and Marcelo Moreno all scored in the first half to make it 3-0 to Bolivia, though things could have been different had it not been for Quiñonez.
With his team two goals ahead, the 22-year-old saved a first-half penalty from Enner Valencia.
The first attempt from the forward actually found the back of the net, but was ruled out for encroachment. He changed sides second time around, only to see Quiñonez claw his effort away.
The shotstopper then produced a sting of excellent saves after the break, helping Bolivia hang on despite Ecuador laying seige to their goal in Valparaíso.
