China goes wild for Messi and Neymar

The two FC Barcelona players are in Beijing to play in the Argentina v Brazil match in the Olympic Stadium
Fans and media alike are thrilled by the presence of the two football superstars in their city.

Leo Messi and Neymar Jr are the two biggest attractions of the Brazil versus Argentina match being played on Saturday in Beijing. Both fans and the media have gone wild at their presence in the city and the chance to see two of the world’s finest players, and two of the world’s finest teams, in action. Argentina and Brazil finished second and fourth at the recent World Cup in Brazil.

There were crowds of Barça fans at the airport to welcome Messi and Neymar to China. And the local media has also reacted with passion, with the faces of the two players appearing on the covers of many of the main newspapers in the country.

Messi and Neymar are not the only FCB players on the trip. Javier Mascherano, another star of the Argentina team, will also be playing in the Olympic Stadium, and his face appears alongside those of the two star strikers in a poster advertising the game all around the city.

Special stadium for Messi

The Olympic Stadium will bring back fond memories for Argentina captain Leo Messi. It was here that he won the 2008 Olympics gold medal with his country, one of the first major achievements of his career. He was just 21 at the time, and two years later he was back, this time with Barça, for the 2010 preseason tour.

Neymar the main man for Brazil

Neymar has been the Brazilian star that has attracted the most attention in the Chinese capital. The captain of the side coached by Dunga has been the focus of all of its pre-match activities
