Cristiano Ronaldo, just 58 goals shy of Raúl’s record

Cristiano Ronaldo has set his sights on destroying every goalscoring record ever set at Real Madrid and he is getting closer with every game he plays.

The Portuguese has notched up 265 goals in 254 competitive games and is the only ever player to average more than a goal per game after more than 200 games. Until Cristiano arrived at the club, Puskas had the club’s best ever average thanks to his 242 goals in 262 games.

Cristiano averages 1.04 goals per game and wants to be Los Blancos’ all-time top scorer. With 265 goals to his name he is only 58 goals shy of Raúl, Real Madrid legend and their all-time top goalscorer.

The former Real Madrid man reached his tally after 741 games, something which further showcases Cristiano’s brutal efficiency in front of goal. If he maintains that average of 1.04 goals per game, the Portuguese will equal Raúl’s 323 goals in 55 games time.

Barring injury, Ronaldo will be Real’s all-time top scorer by next season. If he keeps up his current average, he would reach 324 goals by his 310th game, 431 less than Raúl needed.

During the last Bernabéu trophy, which was also Raúl’s testimonial, the legendary striker already predicted that Cristiano would break every single one of Real Madrid’s goalscoring records and that the club’s number ‘7’ shirt could not be in better hands.
