Draymond Green suffers ankle sprain

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green suffered an ankle sprain during a pickup game earlier this week, sources told ESPN’s Kendra Andrews. The reported injury comes just days before training camps open across the NBA. The severity of Green’s injury is unclear. The Warriors’ first regular-season game is against the Phoenix Suns on Oct. 24. Green’s status to begin the campaign is in question for the second straight year. He took a leave of absence during last year’s training camp after punching former teammate Jordan Poole in practice. Green inevitably returned and suited up to start the season. The 33-year-old signed a four-year, $100-million contract in the offseason after posting 8.5 points per game in 2022-23, his highest tally in five campaigns.Should Green miss any action, reserve forward Jonathan Kuminga would be in line for more playing time. The 2021 No. 7 pick has shown flashes of being a rising star but has averaged just 18.8 minutes per game over two NBA seasons.                                      The Score tromoto nv
