Manchester City have answered the judge presiding over the ‘DIS case’ to confirm that they never made Santos a formal offer for Neymar. As part of the court proceedings, the judge approached several European clubs to ask if they had made an offer for the Brazilian. Real Madrid confirmed they had done so, while Bayern and City responded in the negative. A reply from Chelsea is still pending.
A few days ago, the Manchester club submitted their answer to the British police assuring that no firm offer to sign the forward was ever made. City were interested in signing Neymar, but bowed out once they saw the tug of war in play between Real Madrid and Barça.
