July has become August and the transfer market is heating up, especially with the early deadline day in the Premier League.
Europe’s biggest clubs are trying to act as quickly as possible and to get their business done before it’s too late.
Here, we take a look at who the giants of the continent want to sign in the remaining time before the window closes.
Real Madrid
Already Los Blancos have brought in Vinicius Junior, Andriy Lunin and Alvaro Odriozola, but Cristiano Ronaldo‘s exit means that they could yet add another centre-forward.
Harry Kane, Mauro Icardi and Robert Lewandowski have all been mentioned as possible options for Los Blancos, but it remains to be seen if any of these three players will actually be on the move.
Real Madrid are also searching for another goalkeeper and Thibaut Courtois has been linked with a move, while his Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard is another player who has featured on their wish list.
Barcelona
Ernesto Valverde has said during Barcelona‘s summer tour that he’d like another midfielder, given the departures of Andres Iniesta and Paulinho.
Arthur and Malcom have already joined, in addition to centre-back Clement Lenglet, but it seems the Blaugrana would like one more man to put in the middle, with Willian, Adrien Rabiot and Paul Pogba all having been linked with a move to the Camp Nou.
Atletico Madrid
Diego Simeone has already seen Atletico Madrid buy Thomas Lemar, Gelson Martins, Rodri and Santiago Arias, but another reinforcement could be on the way.
With Luciano Vietto and Kevin Gameiro both rumoured to be on their way out of the Spanish capital, another No.9 could be signed.
Manchester City
The English champions aren’t expected to return to the market before the deadline, having already signed Riyad Mahrez and Philippe Sandler.
Their business appears to be done, unless a unique opportunity comes up or unless they lose a player and need to replace.
Chelsea
Jorginho has arrived at Stamford Bridge, where the transfer market focus is on the futures of Willian, Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois, who could leave and, therefore, need replaced.
Manchester United
Jose Mourinho wants more signings to join Fred and Diogo Dalot on the way into Old Trafford this summer.
The directors are continuing to work on improving the squad, with Yerry Minathe latest name to have been listed as a serious target.
Juventus
