Better than last season: In his first season at Barça, Suárez scored 25 times in 43 games (0.58 a match). He’s already topped that record this time round, and overall has been on target 54 times for the club.
Fourth hat-trick: The Uruguayan took the match ball home once again on Sunday, as he also did againstGuangzhou in the Club World Cup and Eibar in the league, and last season against Cordoba (0-8)..
Pichichi: The eighteen goals make him the top scorer in La Liga, with two goals more than his team-mateNeymar Jr and Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid.
Assists as well: Suárez set up Neymar to score against Athletic, his tenth assist of the campaign. It was also he who was brought down by visiting keeper Iraizoz in the third minute, leading to a red card and penalty.
