Additional Facts: The only victory by Chile in their entire history occurred on August 15, 2000 at the Nacional Stadium in the city of Santiago. It was a 3-0 win with goals from Fabian Estay, Ivan Zamorano and Marcelo Salas.
Another interesting fact is that Brazil played the first game in its history of qualifiers while away against Chile. It was on February 28, 1954, at the Nacional Stadium in Santiago, with a 2-0 win, with goals from Baltazar.
The aforementioned 3-0 defeat was the only time that Brazil will not score any goals against Chile during 10 previous games as visitor.
