The TGL – Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s tech-infused indoor golf league – will debut in January 2025, the organization announced Monday.
The league initially intended to begin play in 2024, but the launch was delayed after the roof of its primary venue collapsed. Competition is scheduled to take place at the 1,500-seat SoFi Center located on the campus of Palm Beach State College in Florida.
The full schedule will be announced later in the year, but three matches are already set for Jan. 7, 14, and 21.
The TGL offered further details on its format and rules with help from Rickie Fowler.
In addition to Woods, McIlroy, and Fowler, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Matt Fitzpatrick, Justin Rose, Xander Schauffele, Max Homa, Adam Scott, Billy Horschel, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry, Tom Kim, Keegan Bradley, Sahith Theegala, Cameron Young, Patrick Cantlay, Wyndham Clark, Min Woo Lee, Kevin Kisner, and Lucas Glover have committed to joining the league.
The league already has six teams: Atlanta Drive GC, Boston Common Golf, Jupiter Links GC, LAGC, and unnamed clubs from New York and San Francisco.
