Chile’s Jorge Valdívia was named MasterCard Man of the Match after playing a starring role in his side’s 5-0 thrashing of Bolivia.
La Roja made sure of top spot in Group A in the most emphatic style as they brushed aside Mauricio Soria’s outfit in Santiago.
There were fine performances all over the field for Chile, but Valdívia’s artistry in midfield was particularly eye-catching.
He set up his side’s second and fourth goals, scored by Alexis Sánchez and Gary Medel, respectively.
Having cut back a neat cross for Alexis to net a diving header, Valdívia produced an exquisite chipped pass to Medel who dinked home a memorable effort late on.
