Winfried Schäfer has named Jamaica’s final squad for the 2015 Copa América, trimming his initial 30-man party down to the required 23 players.
Goalkeeper Damion Hyatt, defenders Alvas Powell and Richard Dixon, midfield duo Shaun Cummings and Omar Holness, plus forwards Michael Seaton and Andre Clennon are the men to be left out.
Former Derby County and England Under-19 international Giles Barnes, who only made his debut for the Reggae Boyz in March of this year, is included after his fine MLS form with Houston Dynamo.
Premier League duo Wes Morgan and Adrian Mariappa will also be integral to the Caribbean outfit’s first ever Copa América campaign, where they take on the competition’s two most-successful nations.
Jamaica have no friendlies to contend with before they start their campaign against Uruguay on June 13, with matches against Paraguay and Argentina to follow in Group B.
Like fellow Concacaf side Mexico, the Reggae Boyz will also be taking part in the Gold Cup this July.
