After the international break, Lyon travels to Monaco that still haven’t won at home this season, with only two points separating the two sides.
Monaco has a good record at home having not lost to Lyon in more then fourĀ years now. But their form has been poor at home this season, having won only twoĀ points in four matches. In the Europa League they managedĀ only a 1-1 draw at home. But in the Champions League qualiļ¬ers in August theyĀ managed to celebrate at home against Young Boys and Valencia, althoughĀ it was not enough to pass further since they were previously defeated atĀ Mestalla by a big margin.
It was a big letdown for them as last year they went all the way to the quarterļ¬nalsĀ of the Champions League. But they haveĀ improved since then and managed one win and two draws.Ā Monacoās coach Jardim still he has problems in defence andĀ has not managed to keep a clean sheet for six games now.
Meanwhile, Lyon are in sixth spot and are only three points behind second placedĀ Angers. In the Champions League, they wonĀ one point from two matches. Against Belgian side Gent they managed a 1-1 draw away, while they lost toĀ Valencia in their last clash.
Now it will be an uphill task for them to qualify to the knockout stages as they willĀ have two matches against Zenit, so they will most likelyĀ ļ¬ght for the third place which leads to the Europa League. In Ligue 1, they areĀ mostly winning home matches. On their travels they managed one defeat and a draw.
Both Monaco and Lyon have seen their squads stretched ahead of their meeting.Ā Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim is without nine players because of injury or suspension, while Lyon counterpart Hubert Fournier is scarcely better off with eight players absent from the travelling party due to injury.
Head to Head
Monaco starts this weekend in 10th spot, while Lyon is currently 6th. Lyon have twoĀ points more in the standings. As for their meetings last season, Lyon had moreĀ success as they won at home and drew away from home.

Team News
Monacoās Ricardo Carvalho and Andrea Raggi are suspended, while Adama Traore, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Almamy Toure, Fares Bahlouli, Helder Costa, Fabio Coentrao and Nabil Dirar are all injured. Elderson Echiejile and Bernardo Silva are in the squad, however, after being doubtful, a relief to their boss.
As for the Lyon, coach Fournier will be without the defender Bisevac, midļ¬elders Fofana and Grenier and striker Fekir due to injuries.
